Why do women need extra help with the creation, start-up, running, and ultimately growing their businesses? When one thinks about women and business, at least two paths come to mind: the overwhelming need that women around the world have to support themselves, and the personal needs of women who want to lead in business and dream of entrepreneurship as a calling.

It is the age-old question of jobs and families versus career / lifetime callings. After making multiple economic decisions women need the education and training need to be part of a competitive public world.

When one looks at work on a global level, the need for survival and the jobs that provide survival are very clear. There is no way around it. No one in the world can live without some monetary income any more. We need organizations like The Women’s Enterprise Fund to work on a global level to train women in starting their own businesses simply for survival.

Women lack job opportunities so they are forced to come up with the solutions to provide for their families themselves. Many turn to each other to create communal businesses that benefit many. And there are some who work end up simply doing it themselves, but for many similar economic reasons.
